It is Thanksgiving Day here in Canada. It is a day to be filled with gratitude for all that life holds for us. Personally I have much to be thankful for and my list is never ending. Even though the weather is somewhat overcast here in Ottawa, one can still appreciate how nature colours our world, especially during the autumn season. Several trees have begun their own paintings providing deep russets, muted oranges, fiery reds and lush greens. While on a walk through the neighbourhood, I was fortunate to capture the beauty of a maple tree. I had to stop and admire the rich colour of its leaves....a moment in time captured on film to be repeatedly enjoyed. I hope you take a moment today as well to discover and enjoy all that life has to offer.....even the colours of autumn.....this moment in time will not come again.

  1. I love love love loooooooooove the autumn colours of Canada!! I lived there for 4 years (Toronto) and I collected leaves from the ground which I took back with me to Dubai. I have made so many artworks inspired by the Canadian autumn. If you look through my blogs, you will find them:
